1. Who we are
Cogotec Limited is an international health and travel insurance consultancy providing programme, operational and technology support. We operate across 140 countries and are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. For all data-related enquiries, contact us at mo@cogotec.com.
2. What information we collect
We collect the following personal information when you interact with us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your WhatsApp number (when provided via our Nomi AI chat assistant or contact form)
- The content of any enquiry you submit
We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data (such as health records), or any information from minors.
3. How we use your information
The information you provide is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
4. Data retention
If no client relationship is established following your enquiry, your personal data will be retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which it will be securely deleted. If a client relationship is established, data will be retained for the duration of that relationship and for a further period as required by applicable law.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data (right to be forgotten)
- Object to or restrict how we process your data

6. Cookies and website analytics
We use essential cookies to ensure the site functions correctly. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies without your consent. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
Website analytics. If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA) receives the pages you view (without their query string, except campaign tags), the name of the website that sent you (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), whether you sent an enquiry (the contact form, or asking us to email you the plans you compared), a random identifier stored in two cookies that expire 13 months after they are set, your browser and device type, time on page, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, which Google does not store. We do not send it your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, or anything you type. Its advertising features, Google signals and data sharing are switched off, and event- and user-level data is deleted after 2 months; only aggregated reports with no identifier (counts by page, source and country) are kept longer. Google processes it in the USA and other countries where it operates, under its data processing terms, which include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. If you choose Essential only, Google Analytics is never loaded.

7. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at cogotec.com/privacy.
